This Is Now A Good Time

The high tech/high touch dynamic is not a hydraulic system where one goes up if only the other does down. Nor is it “zero-sum,” where one has to fail for the other to succeed.

The truth is, the higher the tech, the higher the touch needed. Successful self-checkouts work to speed customer purchases only when an employee is nearby assigned to help with those who can't manage the instructions (or when the software fails). People leave websites where only a bot responds to questions, but stay and make purchases when a human agent is on the chat.

I have reread and proofed this post because too often the software replaces my accurate word with one it thinks actually is meant instead. Have you considered the difference between writing the word “now” and having it replaced with “not”?

That is now a concern.
