A Reading to My Hollins Peeps Who Knew Me When

Words simply can’t express the love and gratitude I’m feeling for my Hollins sisters and our mini-reunion at Abby Ross and Pierce Sioussat’s lovely home in Richmond. It filled my soul.

A big thanks and hugs to the consummate hosts for connecting us and the work that went into not only the event, but hosting me.

We had a lovely, delish lunch (ham biscuits and lobster, y’all), then I read from my work, then we caught up. We could have kept going all week, because these days, it’s tougher to get together.

We’re not all standing out on the porches on East and Main Dorms reliving the day. This gathering filled my heart and soul up. In these 21st-century times, we all need to do this more.
