Thank You, Thank You (music), Thank You, Thank You (more music), Thank You?.

Image
For Immediate Release: Dateline: East Greenwich , RI The award shows are all examples of unfettered excess, but the Oscars seem to, well, take the award for the worst of the worst. Designers who apparently hate women put them in bizarre outfits that the women can barely walk in, shoes that cause vertigo with help needed for stairs, and hair and makeup that require a team of four over an hour to apply. Then there's the borrowed jewelry, the dumb red carpet patter, and winners—many of whom are actors and/or public figures—who can't remember who to thank or what to say and have to pull out notes! It's like an amusement park experience. There should be a warning, as in Disneyland: If you're listening to this acceptance speech at this point, you have an 11 minute wait before moving on…. Rediscovering the Joy of Life and The Best Parts of Retirement

Image
Retirement is often seen as a difficult transition, filled with concerns about identity loss, financial stress, or boredom. These negatives sometimes overshadow the many positives that retirement brings. However, for countless retirees, this stage of life offers new opportunities, self-discovery, and a fresh sense of freedom that they couldn’t enjoy during their working years. While the challenges of retirement are real, many retirees have found joy in embracing this new chapter. One of the most celebrated aspects of retirement is the freedom to explore long-held passions and hobbies. Without the constraints of a rigid work schedule, retirees now have time to dedicate to the activities they’ve always wanted to try. Whether it’s traveling, learning a new language, or diving into creative pursuits like painting or writing, retirement opens doors to exploring new interests. Many retirees reflect on how they can finally control their time. This freedom allows them to shape their days ...

Ukraine: Regime Change via the Oster Conspiracy

Image
The Oster Conspiracy As the Ukrainian military position becomes ever more untenable at the front lines, low morale amongst the battle-weary soldiers and a pause in military aid (except intelligence reports) by the Americans, President Zelensky seems to be determined to carry on the fight. For this reason, it would not be unthinkable that a 21 st century version of the Oster Conspiracy may be strongly considered by high-ranking Ukrainian officials. What was the Oster Conspiracy? In 1938, Nazi Germany was negotiating with France and the UK with respect to obtaining the Sudetenland region in Czechoslovakia. Like Ukraine today, Czechoslovakia was not involved in these negotiations. Lt. Colonel Hans Oster, deputy head of the Abwehr (German intelligence agency) along with other German generals, believed that Germany was unprepared and not strong enough to enter a war should negotiations fail. Although Germany had built up its military since Hitler's ascension to power in 1933, an i...

America?s Premier Media Expert Blasts The View?s Joy Behar

Image
America's Premier Media Expert Blasts  The View 's Joy Behar:  "She Must Want to Get Sued." Joy Behar Launches Slanderous, Racist, Anti-Musk Attack —  Apparently,  The View  Hates Immigrants. In a jaw-dropping display of bigotry,  The View  co-host Joy Behar launched a vicious on-air attack against tech visionary and immigrant entrepreneur Elon Musk on Thursday. Behar smeared the South African-born innovator as a  "foreigner, foreign agent, enemy of the United States,"  even suggesting Musk was  "pro-apartheid"  simply because he grew up in South Africa. Pro-apartheid?  That's like claiming every German is pro-Holocaust or assuming every Israeli supports bombing civilians. It's absurd — and, ironically, precisely the kind of sweeping racial stereotype  The View  and its audience claim to abhor. America's premier media expert,  Michael Levine , wasted no time condemning Behar's unhinged tirade: "Joy Behar's ...

Why Rare Earth Minerals Are Critical to the Supply Chain

Image
A Strategic Opportunity for U.S. Manufacturing, Technology & Defense Without rare earth minerals, modern manufacturing, technology, and defense industries simply cannot function. These critical materials are essential for producing semiconductors, EV batteries, pharmaceuticals, aerospace components and AI-driven technology. Discussions for the U.S. to access Ukraine's vast reserves of rare earth minerals have recently stalled, leaving a key supply chain opportunity in limbo. While negotiations remain uncertain, one thing is clear—the U.S. must secure stable and diversified sources of rare earth minerals to protect supply chains and maintain global competitiveness. "Supply chains don't exist without rare earth minerals—without them, there are no semiconductors, no AI, no clean energy solutions, and no advanced defense systems," said Lisa Anderson, MBA, CSCP, CLTD , President of LMA Consulting Group, Inc ., and recognized supply chain expert. "We hope that ...

How to Earn Business from Influential People (Without Selling to Them)

Image
As I transitioned from cutting the hair of ambitious professionals and the movers and shakers in San Francisco’s Financial District, I always asked about their business. Their advice helped me, and many stories gave me great content for my earlier presentations on Getting, Keeping and Deserving Your Customers. Here is one example from long before we had LinkedIn, YouTube, and email. I am sure you agree; the PRINCIPLE is still so u nd. John, a successful young financial planner, told me a compelling story demonstrating a powerful approach to building credibility and trust with high-value clients, especially when you are the new contender in a competitive field. The Journey Begins John told me, “When I was thirty-three, I transitioned from another industry into my father’s established financial planning firm. Although my father was well-respected, I started from scratch—no personal reputation and no clients.” Innovative Strategy for Building Connections As John faced the daunting ...

It would be shocking if Smart Polite weren?t busy reacquiring guns

Image
Many years ago, I lived next to a man named Smart Polite. Most people in the area called him by his initials, SP. The neighborhood was extremely violent so almost all of the residents there owned guns, which they used to protect themselves and their families. There was one mean guy in particular that everyone steered clear of. He was widely known to be armed to the teeth and he constantly threatened people. After a while, everyone realized that the status quo was unsustainable. The neighborhood had become so saturated with guns that no one felt safe. The violence even started to spill over into some nearby counties. The local sheriff’s office offered the community’s members a deal. His force would beef up its presence and offer round-the-clock security in exchange for people handing over their weapons. SP, who had a large cache of guns, reluctantly took the deal and surrendered his weapons to the sheriff’s staff. Nearly everyone else followed suit. I had already moved to a different...

Lew Hollander-Proving Endurance Knows No Age Limit

Image
When it comes to pushing the boundaries of what’s possible at any age, few people exemplify this more than Lew Hollander. As a triathlete who competed in grueling Ironman competitions well into his 80s, he defied every stereotype about aging. His story isn’t just about physical endurance—it’s about resilience, determination, and the relentless pursuit of living life to its fullest. For most people, just completing an Ironman triathlon—a race that includes a 2.4-mile swim, a 112-mile bike ride, and a full 26.2-mile marathon—is a once-in-a-lifetime achievement. For him, it became a lifestyle. He completed his first Ironman at the age of 55, an age when many might consider dialing back on physical challenges. Instead, he was just getting started. Competing in more than 60 Ironman races over the years, he made history by becoming the oldest person to finish the World Championship in Kona, Hawaii, at the age of 82. His dedication and grit not only placed him in the record books but also ...
