Clutter is Postponed Decisions?

Image
Remember that one basic idea—CLUTTER IS POSTPONED DECISIONS®. Now ask yourself if you’ve ever really decided what you want your setting to be. Chances are you have not thought much about this. One client described her frustration at “visiting the banquet of life and feeling stuck in the mashed potatoes — all the stuff holding me down.” Only later did she define an entirely different place on life’s banquet table. She wanted to feel as bright as a bowl of fresh raspberries - rich, tangy and colorful.  When you were a kid, you mostly accepted the setting that was provided for you. When you first lived on your own or with a roommate, you didn’t think much about your surroundings. You were too absorbed in school, work, or socializing to focus on an ideal setting (or maybe your “ideal” environment actually did include socks on the light fixture and empty pizza boxes overflowing in the wastebasket). Eventually, you had more opportunities to create your own setting. By then maybe you were “

Only One Developed Country in the World Has More Births than Deaths. Who do you think it is?

Image
If you have been reading me for a while, you know I am concerned about the dramatically decreased birthrates in developed countries and what it means for a toy industry largely dependent upon children. A country needs a fertility rate of 2.1 to maintain its population. The U.S., for example, has a fertility rate of 1.64. The only reason the U.S. has population growth is due to immigration. Other countries wish they had a fertility rate of 1.64. Japan’s birth rate is 1.34, China’s 1.15, Taiwan’s 0.96, and South Korea’s is cratering at 0.81. According to the website  Next Big Future : Countries with very low fertility rates of 1.1 or less will have populations at one third of their current levels in 2100. Countries with very low fertility rates of 1.6 to 1.8 will have populations at 60-70% of current levels in 2100. Nex Next Big Future t Big Future According to Next Big Future, if China, South Korea, and Japan were to maintain a fertility rate of 1.0 for the next 270 years, the

Retail and the End of the Customer is Always Right

Image
In January 2021, I published an article entitled, “ U.S. Consumers Returned $428 Billion of Merchandise in 2020 .” As I wrote then: “ I find it astounding (but not surprising) that Americans were that unhappy with what they purchased or were gifted in 2020.” Apparently, the retail community found it astounding as well. The days of taking things back with no questions asked are over. Why? Because returns have never been higher, and the cost of handling them has increased to $26.50 per $100. So, what are retailers doing? According to a  Wall Street Journal article  by Suzanne Kapner, a variety of things. Amazon gives a heads-up to shoppers about items that have high return rate s. Online retailer Dress the Population offers discounts to people who agree not to return their purchases. Retailers with large numbers of physical stores such as Zara and H&M are also making adjustments like charging shoppers for sending returns by mail.  Retailers clamp down on returns, Suzanne

You CAN Grow Younger! ? How To Do It

Image
Several months ago, I wrote about frequency healing, telling you about sound and light waves and their capacity to” fix what ails you” – without harmful drugs (which includes all of them). Now, I’m back to tell you about stem cell activation patches. They are small circular stickers like a clear round band-aid with a small center patch and only slightly larger than a quarter. The patches are a form of Kat Stansell Low-Level Light Therapy, which stimulates your own body to activate the re-growth of your own stem cells, as sunlight stimulates Vitamin D production. Once these kept you young but have been leaving your body, bit by bit, since your late twenties. Here is what the experts have to say. The information is from NaturalLifeNews.com “Adult stem cells are critical to our overall health and longevity. In 2006, the New England Journal of Medicine states that the number one indicator of wellness is directly correlated to the number of adult stem cells in the bloodstream. . . .

Communicating with Non-Technical Audiences

Image
For Immediate Release: Dateline: Centreville , VA “When communicating with non-technical types there is nothing better than a clear visualization to make your point” – John Tukey, American mathematician and statistician When you speak to your audience, don’t make the mistake of projecting your experience with your subject to your audience. This is a natural tendency that all humans have. We are the total of our experiences in life. But your audience has not had the same experiences. Take extra care when you talk to non-technical audiences. Use the following methods to get your message across to them. Use Simple and Clear Language When speaking to a non-technical audience, it’s important to avoid using jargon, technical terms, and complex explanations that might be difficult for them to understand. Instead, try to use simple and straightforward language that is easy to understand. Use analogies and examples that relate to their everyday lives, and avoid using acronyms unless

Martha Stewart?s Sports Illustrated Cover Breaks Barriers

Image
Martha Stewart, the iconic lifestyle entrepreneur, recently made headlines as the oldest woman to grace the cover of Sports Illustrated. She inspired people worldwide to break the ageism stereotypes by defying age-related barriers and stereotypes. This serves as a powerful reminder that age is no limitation when it comes to pursuing our dreams. In her own words from The Wall Street Journal , Martha Stewart looks at being the oldest woman on the cover of Sports Illustrated as a symbol of healthy living. She took the task as a challenge and enjoyed the title of holding the record for the oldest woman on the cover.
